What I suspect is that there might be something wrong with your dns
resolution. check /etc/resolv.conf

Also try pinging the url's yourself and see if the machine where smoke is
running is resolving them.

Sorry to be a pain, but I would really like to get this working :

I ran the app, like so

[root at localhost bin]# ./smokeping

address

### fping seems to report in 1 miliseconds

The top of my config looks like this :

datadir  = /tmp/smokeping/smokeping-1.13

So where has it put the .rrd file (There is nothing in the datadir )??? ...
how do I know that the daemon is domain anything ??
