[smokeping-users] Re: SMOKEPING.CGI ERROR

Mukesh,

I had this error when setting up Smokeping. I'm sure it's a permissions 
issue but even with permissions set to 777 I couldn't get it going.

My fix was to ignore the paths in the sample config and put stuff where 
it was consistent with other apps. I think I did all this as root but 
modified the image dir rights to 777 (may not be needed)

(using redhat 7.3)

config, etc. = /etc/smokeping
smokeping progs = /usr/local/smokeping
web pages = /var/www/http/smokeping
images = /var/www/http/smokeping/image
cgi = main cgi-bin dir
data & pids = /var/smokeping
