[smokeping-users] curl probes timeout

We're trying to change step count to 60 seconds instead of 300 seconds.
Curl is setup with default values. With step being 60 seconds we get errors such as:

Oct 14 08:07:01 tyo01inf002 smokeping[16605]: Curl: www.microsoft.com: timeout (30 s) reached, killing the probe.

If we change it back to 300s, its fine. I tried increasing forks to 25, but that was no good. Is there anyway around this? Does anyone know. 

Any help would be appreciated.
