Looks good starting up:

bash-2.05$ bin/smokeping
### assuming you are using an fping copy reporting in miliseconds
Daemonizing bin/smokeping ...

bash-2.05$ ps -ef | grep smoke | grep -v grep
jim          150875          1  0.0 14:27:00 ??           0:00.05 bin/smokeping

However, the charts shown via cgi-bin are all empty more than 300
seconds later. The timestamps on the charts are being refreshed.
Last night I was getting data on the charts.
