Thanks Niko,

I am running 2.x code but had not realized that there was new probe
documentation in /doc/Smokeping/probes/

After reading this I now see there's a
"extrare" argument that can be set to help the parser.

extrare = /;/
extraargs = --header;Host: www.domain.com

will do the trick, and works great .. thanks again for the help.
