So you've changed the API? Bummer - I must be blind. The only 
incompatibility I can find mentioned is regarding colons in COMMENT 
arguments. Could you please direct me to where these changes are described?

To give a bit of background - I maintain the FreeBSD port of smokeping, 
and we now have a number of smokeping users with non-working 
installations, since rrdtool was upgraded.

At the moment, it is not really an option for us to simply drop support 
for smokeping-1.x in favor of 2.0rc4, but once 2.0 is officially 
released, I will do what is necessary to get it incorporated in the 
ports tree.
