Would you agree this would be the appropriate usage of hping2 to get
just the syn/ack ?. I believe it is 
hping2 -S -c 1 -p <n> <host>

Hi,

not that I know of. It wouldn't be too hard to do this with eg. hping2
or just a pure Perl module. The latency in this case would be just the
interval between the sending of SYN packet to the reception of the ACK
packet...
