[smokeping-users] Upgrade procedure?

I searched the smokeping website, the mailing lists and google and
couldn't find anything specific...

Is there a documented upgrade procedure somewhere?  I'm installing from
source - not a package.  I currently have 2.2.7 installed and would like
to upgrade to 2.3.1.

I'm sure I could just "figure it out", but I don't want to risk a loss
of data.
