[smokeping-users] IPv4 and IPv6

There is no relationship between the IP family of the name server's
address (always IPv4 in your case), and the IP family of the replies
sent by this name server. IPv4 transport can be used to send IPv6
addresses.

% cat /etc/resolv.conf
...
nameserver 127.0.0.1
nameserver 208.78.97.155
nameserver 208.75.87.250

% telnet www.afnic.fr
Trying 2001:660:3003:2::4:20...
