Do your SmokePing CGI files actually exist in the root of your web
server? Usually they're in a subdirectory (or virtual directory), e.g.
http://myhost.com/smokeping/smokeping.cgi
or in a virtual host
http://smokeping.myhost.com
You may need to configure that manually, the package/installer for your
distribution may or may not set up any of the above...
