Hello Darren,

 

Its not fixed and thanks to you.

 

Now the command below worked

 

smoke at slave01:/usr/sbin$ sudo ./smokeping
--master-url=http://10.247.0.51/smokeping/smokeping.cgi \

>              --cache-dir=/var/smokeping/ \

>              --shared-secret=/var/smokeping/secret.txt

Sent data to Server and got new config in response.

Note: logging to syslog as local0/info.

Daemonizing ./smokeping ...

smoke at slave01:/usr/sbin$

 

 

however I still cannot see any stats from the SLAVE on the Master server
web interface.

 

Please help.

The secrets file needs to be owned (or at least readable) by the user

your web server runs as - typically that will be apache or httpd.
