[smokeping-users] Anyone have systemd init scripts?

Hi smokeping users.

For anyone that need it, attached is a systemd init script which work fine for me on CentOS 7. The script was a little bit tweaked from the one present in the Fedora 22 smokeping 6.10 RPM package (works fine for 6.11).
The installation is pretty easy

-copy init scritp to /etc/systemd/system/ folder
-edit the file and replace smokeping installation path for wherever you install it.
-for slave servers, add salve options to ExecStar var
                -run command “systemctl daemon-reload”
-test start, stop, restart, status, reload commands for smokeping.service. “systemctl start smokeping.service” for example.
-run “systemctl enable smokeping.service” to run smokeping at startup.

And that’s it.

Bye,

Dago

I setup a virtual box with latest Fedora at home and downloaded Smokeping via yum. There was a smokeping.service file included. I don’t have access to a Linux box at the moment but will forward to the list tonight. Or you can just get it from the repo – I should have tried this before posting!

We’re moving from Solaris 10 to RHEL 6.5 Linux which uses systemd. I was wondering if anyone already had a smokeping.services type script for the systemd environment that they would be willing to share?

Thanks,
Al
