here is Masahito Omote's reply to the message I sent him regarding the
proliferation of INET6.pm versions.
It would seem that this gives the green light to Rafael to upload his
version of INET6.pm to CPAN...

I think the floods of INET6.pm are not good and that makes so much
confusion and waste much time to port to each version of them. This
situation is not happy for both uses and developers using INET6.pm.

I would like to take part in uploading new Rafael Martinez's INET6.pm to
CPAN, and become maintainer for it in Debian.
I will move my INET6.pm in libsocket6-perl to
/usr/share/doc/libsocket6-perl/examples/ for transition and ITP
(announcement for uploading package) libio-socket-inet6-perl as soon
as possible. After libio-socket-inet6-perl is included in unstable,
I drop my INET6.pm.
