[mrtg] Re: Add new OID to MRTG 2.8.x

The easiest and cleanest way to add your mapping
is by editing the file "oid-mib-cache.txt" in the WorkDir.
Go to the directory you've specified as "WorkDir" in the
config, and open the file "oid-mib-cache.txt" with your
favorite editor. Don't worry if the file doesn't exist, as
mrtg will open it and look for entries in it anyway.
Now add your OID values, one per line, with white
space between the text and OID number. Here is an
example:

sysName 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0
icmpInEchos 1.3.6.1.1.2.1.5.8

An alternative is to find the MIB file with the definition
and use the "LoadMIBs" MRTG configuration file directive
to specify the MIB files.

What I've said holds true for MRTG version 2.8.X
