[mrtg] Reversing sums of OIDs

Hi all,
I'm having some trouble figuring out how to do this, or if it's even
possible. I have a couple of entries in my .cfg file that take the sum of
two or more sets of OIDs from different devices, e.g.
oid1.in&oid1.out:string at device1 + oid2.in&oid2.out:string at device2. I'd like
to swap the IN/OUT values for the total sum, just like I invert non-summed
target values with the "-" sign. However, I don't seem to be getting
anywhere with any of the following:

-oid1.in&oid1.out:string at device1 + -oid2.in&oid2.out:string at device2
-oid1.in&oid1.out:string at device1 + oid2.in&oid2.out:string at device2
-oid1.in&oid1.out:string at device1 - oid2.in&oid2.out:string at device2

Any hints?

Thanks,
