Keith,

You can find Cabletron mibs here:

ftp://ftp.cabletron.com/pub/snmp/mibs/enterprise-mibs/ctenviron-mib.txt

I don't think it matters what slot you point to, they are all tied together
with the SMB bus. I point to the first slot though.

Chass is ?

	Hi Tom,

I just have another question about monitoring the SS9000, I notice
in this
	string :

	Target[b2-temp]:

1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.8.1.1.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.52.4.1.1.8.1.1.0:communtity at ss9000

Would you point to a specific card in the SS9000 14 Slot Chassis
because the
environmental unit does not have a specific IP address associated
with it .... or
will the OID string take care of this ?

Just curious how you attacked this ....

	Thanks for your input ...

	Keith ....

I monitor ambient room temperature and humidity on our 9000s.
The OID returns temperature in F multiplied by 10
You can monitor just about anything - fan speed, board temps, power supply
voltages, etc.

I think this will only work with the 14 slot chassis.

Don't forget to use gauge in the options.

?

	Hi Folks,

I currently have a large environment of Cabletron's Smartswitch 9000
Chassis here on
my campus .... I am currently monitoring all my switched FDDI
Backbone's, but would
be curious if anyone out there has setup anything to monitor the
environmental unit of
	the chassis ???.

I would like to be able to monitor the temperature of the chassis
and setup some sort
of threshold to alert me if the data closets A.C. unit has a problem
....

	Thanks for any information ....
