I hate to bring you this bad news but you can't recover your data from
the current logs. Next time, ask before testing. You would have been
told to copy the *.log files ...
Read all about the logfile format in the documentation section. This can
be found in the directory doc.
You may be able to salvage the log partially by removing all lines that
have a time stamp > now (gnu: date +%s) but I'm not sure how mrtg will
cope with incomplete logs. In any case, make a copy of your logs before
experimenting any further. At least you can use them on january 1st ...
