DD,

Here is what I have for every cfg file:

start cmd /c c:\perl\bin\perl c:\mrtg\run\mrtg
c:\mrtg\run\pap\aps\prtapmem.cfg

I have one file runmrtg.cmd that is run by the mrtg service, and about 15
cfg files.  Each one uses the same syntax as above.

This makes it exit every time. Works great.
