you have to pay for Sun C compiler and
/usr/ucb/cc is a front end for Sun C compiler;
you see the message
    /usr/ucb/cc: language optional software package not installed. 
if Sun C compiler is not installed.

add the path for gcc to your PATH environment variable,
and remove the path /usr/ucb/.
