I've never had any problems with the installation. I'm running it on NT
though. I also always close everything before starting any installation.
Could it be that your Virus Protection software is locking up during the
installation. A lot of older Virus packages, will lock down any
installation routine since it believes they are being malicious when
they atttempt to write to the system directory or modify the registry.
