[mrtg] How to get the line error rate?

Hi All,

I have a requirement to monitor the line error rate for each interface of a 
router. Do I add ifInErrors + ifOutErrors? I was trying to find some info on 
the archives but got too many hits for "error" and I could not find the info 
I needed by just browsing the subject of the message.

Any help would be appreciated?
