     I am not sure about sending emails from the command line in NT,but  I 
     use a freeware product called BLAT under windows NT to send SMTP 
     notification messages. It is extremely easy to install and use. Go to 
     www.shareware.com.

On the topic of thresholds, I was wondering how it were possible to send an 
e-mail from the command line in NT/98.  I would use threshold monitoring to 
execute an external script, containg code to send an e-mail describing the 
alert.
     
Anyone have a good idea how to do this?
