What about ethernet in/out?  Nice to know if a certain amount of collisions
(or errors or whatever) is acceptable or not ...  It also is a great help
when you need to decide if, for instance, the number of workstations
connected to a segment should be lowered or increased.

IMHO you can never know what you need in the future so you should
monitor what you can - given enough cpu power, disk space and so on.
