[mrtg] SNMP !!! Error message

Hi,
I have the, 
"snmp-server community public R0", record in my router.

However, I received an error,

" SNMP Error: no response received " , configuring the mrtg.cfg script.

Obviously, my router is ON, and I can read other routers in my network.
Of course some thing is wrong. Where?.
Please, any body have idea about it?.
