[mrtg] Error running MRTG with CFG file having multiple definitions

I am trying to run MRTG with multiple ports on a router. I use the cfgmaker
file
and it creates the configuration file.  Then when I run mrtg it complains
that
there is a duplicate definition. But when I look at the file it is another
port. 

I am running mrtg 2.8.12.  Are there any other things I need to do in order
to
have multiports in the same configuration file.
