Are you using the 'gauge' option so mrtg won't subtract the previous
value from the current, and check that 'MaxBytes' is set larger than
the current temp?
I monitor several 7206 temps with no problem using the following:
Target[gateway.itemp1]:
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1&1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.3.1.3.1:xxxx at gateway *
1.8 + 32
YLegend[gateway.itemp1]: Deg. F
ShortLegend[gateway.itemp1]: F
MaxBytes[gateway.itemp1]: 250
Options[gateway.itemp1]: gauge, nopercent
Title[gateway.itemp1]: gateway : Inlet Temp
PageTop[gateway.itemp1]:
Inlet Air Temperature

The Target line is all one line but my mailer may split it. I'm
also converting to Fahrenheit (the 7206 returns the temp in Celsius)
but you may not want to. The MaxBytes of 250 is arbitrary, but we
did log 113 degrees one weekend (AC failure) so don't set it too low.
