What you need to do, it multiply the target line by 8. This will convert
the number you are getting via SNMP from bytes to bits, and the graph
should start looking correct.
public at device * 8

I set up MRTG to run without using the bits option in the config file. Most
people that look at
this asks why it is 12.5M/Bytes on a 100MBit link. So not to confuse the
issue I added the
bits option to the config file. This changes the graph to Bits per Second
on the Graph but
the Max speed on the tops of the chart shows 12.5 MBytes . If I change the
config file to
100000000 will this throw off the calculation on the charts or should I
being doing this in the
first place?
