Did you look at the config file before you ran it? If any of the HTML items
near the top don't have a space on the left margin, you get that type of
error.

Since the error is on line 4, that would be the potential area.

Subject: MRTG For Dummies

Hi Jim:

After encountering some problems installing MRTG, I searched the web and
found your "MRTG for Dummies." Great reference and extremely easy to
follow! However, after following the directions to a tee, when I try to
run
the .cfg file I get the error:

ERROR: Line 4 (WorkDir D:\mrtghtml) in .CFG file (baystack1.cfg) does
not
make sense

D:\mrtghtml is a directory and it is the one I referred to when running
cfgmaker. I have searched and searched for a reference to this error
and
mrtg errors in general with no avail. I did post this to the MRTG
general
discussion group as well. I hate to bother you with this question but,
do
you have any idea what is causing this error and how I can fix it?

I am running NT Workstation 4.0 SP6a w/ PWS, version Active state Perl
5.6,
and MRTG 2.9.4.

Thank you!
bret
