[mrtg] log files to gif files

hello,

how could I turn my log files into viewable gif pictures when needed ?
for the moment, I am archiving gif pictures, but archiving log fiels
would probably be more efficient.

I just need to know if there's a tool that can turn log files into gif
files easily. I believe that might be part of the mrtg code, or maybe as
a contrib...
