[mrtg] RRDTool data manipulation

Does anyone out there know of a tool that can manipulate RRD files, as one 
could edit .log files after the fact?  Also, I would hate to lose useful 
scripts such as getactive.pl, etc...Anyone working on development stuff for 
MRTG/RRDtool??
