[mrtg] nt configuration problem

I have just installed MRTG on NT 4.0 workstation, when I run the command
"perl \mrtg \mrtg.cfg" I receive the following error:
CFG error: unknown option "c" on line 12 or above
I assume it is referring to mrtg.cfg, but I can't find any thing that gives
me an indication of a problem. thanks,
