Hi Everybody,

    I am planning to use mrtg for my WAN monitoring , I facing following
problem.
    I could create the cfg file using "cfgmaker", but when I try to use this
cfg file to poll the router " mrtg mrtg.cfg" it gives following error
    $ mrtg mrtg.cfg

    Line 44 in CFG file contains a duplicate definition for

    target[gdn_bombay3a]. First definition is on line 12

I checked up the cfg file it contains following lines

Line 12 details

    Target[GDN_Bombay3A]: 1:public at GDN_Bombay3A

    MaxBytes[GDN_Bombay3A]: 1250000

    Title[GDN_Bombay3A]: GDN_Bombay3A.asia.gdn.com (GDN_Bombay3A):
Ethernet0/0

    PageTop[GDN_Bombay3A]: <H1>Traffic Analysis for Ethernet0/0

    </H1>

    <TABLE>

    <TR><TD>System:</TD><TD>GDN_Bombay3A.asia.gdn.com in </TD></TR>

    <TR><TD>Maintainer:</TD><TD></TD></TR>

    <TR><TD>Interface:</TD><TD>Ethernet0/0 (1)</TD></TR>

    <TR><TD>IP:</TD><TD>GDN_Bombay3A (3.212.112.81)</TD></TR>

    <TR><TD>Max Speed:</TD>

    <TD>1250.0 kBytes/s (ethernetCsmacd)</TD></TR>

    </TABLE>

    #---------------------------------------------------------------

Line 44 details

    Target[GDN_Bombay3A]: 3:public at GDN_Bombay3A

    MaxBytes[GDN_Bombay3A]: 1250000

    Title[GDN_Bombay3A]: GDN_Bombay3A.asia.gdn.com (GDN_Bombay3A):
Ethernet0/1

    PageTop[GDN_Bombay3A]: <H1>Traffic Analysis for Ethernet0/1

    </H1>

    <TABLE>

    <TR><TD>System:</TD><TD>GDN_Bombay3A.asia.gdn.com in </TD></TR>

    <TR><TD>Maintainer:</TD><TD></TD></TR>

    <TR><TD>Interface:</TD><TD>Ethernet0/1 (3)</TD></TR>

    <TR><TD>IP:</TD><TD>GDN_Bombay3A (3.159.148.1)</TD></TR>

    <TR><TD>Max Speed:</TD>

    <TD>1250.0 kBytes/s (ethernetCsmacd)</TD></TR>

    </TABLE>

    #---------------------------------------------------------------

It seems to me the Perl script does not differentiates subinterfaces
Ethernet0/0 & Ethernet0/1 . Is there any patch available for this. If
anybody suggests me something I will appreciate there efforts.

Thanx in advance

mohan
