[mrtg] Accuracy for billing?

Hello all.
I have a bit of a trivial problem, not relating to MRTG problems. It is my
new ISP that wants to charge me for usage in a new way. At my other two
locations, I'm billed based on the MRTG "Monthly" graph, paying for the
higher of in/out traffic. I pay $1 per kbps, for example. I average,
according to MRTG, 346 kbps this month. Their line is a T3 so instead of
paying for 45,000 bps, I pay for 346. :) Makes sense to me. The new ISP
says that MRTG is about 80% right and 346 should really be about 512.
Can someone comment on MRTG's use when it comes to billing and
pay-per-kbps?

Regards,

Drew
