If MRTG has a problem with a CFG file, it will tell you at the beginning and
then quit. If the CFG file is formatted properly and it parses fine, then
MRTG never looks at it again as all of the data is now now in memory.
Rateup may look at it again, but it didn't look like it after a quick look.
You won't get cron mail messages. You'll need to come up with some other
way to keep an eye on things.
