[mrtg] possible (minor) bug with 2.8.11?

hi all

working with mrtg-2.8.11 and the indexmaker script.. mrtg now seems to
create png files by default, however indexmaker seems to create links
with .gif extensions to files and not .png extensions thereby making
broken links when it generates the index page...

am I seeing things?
