minor problem it looks like, remember to put the full path on both the
executable, and the mrtg.cfg so:

0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * /root/mrtg-2.8.11/run/mrtg
/root/mrtg-2.8.11/run/mrtg.cfg

this should work...

Old MRTG user on NT, I have just setup MRTG 2.8.11 on a Linux box!!!!
Finally.  MRTG install was a piece of cake, but, I cannot seem to get
crontab to run I have tried

0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * ./mrtg mrtg.cfg

and

0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * /root/mrtg-2.8.11/mrtg mrtg.cfg

and lastly,

0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * /root/mrtg-2.8.11/./mrtg mrtg.cfg

MRTG resides in /root/mrtg-2.8.11
