[mrtg] Error starting cfgmaker

hi2all,
this is my first time with mrtg and i have (murphy's like) at 1st my
problems. I use following:
gd.1.7.3
libpng 1.0.5
mrtg 2.8.11
zlib
The compiling was still succesfully without any errors.
But when i start the script "cfgmaker" in the run-directory following
error will occured.

BER 0.57 required--this is only version 0.54
(/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/BER.pm) at ./cfgmaker line 13
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./cfgmaker line 13.    

Can anybody help me to fix this problem ?
