Brian,

Off the subject I know but we also use Ascend equipment and I am just
starting to use MRTG, I was curious what equipment you use and how you
monitor it. If you don't mind I have other questions for you also.

Thanks in advance.

Subject: [mrtg] MRTG monitors only interfaces?

Hello all,

My company is planning on offering DSL soon, and wants to be able to
monitor bandwidth usage per DSL customer. It was proposed that we use MRTG
to this, we are currently using MRTG on our Ascends and it works great. So
my question here is does the MRTG only monitor traffic via a network
interface or can it be connfigured to monitor trafic on IP's too? If it
only monitors via network interface does anyone know if it is possible to
setup virtual interfaces on the router for each dedicated DSL IP...or if
anyone knows how we can tackle this problem, or point me in the right
direction your input would be greatly appreciated =)
