Hello,

On one of my linux box running MRTG I get the message below once in a
while and when it happenned I have to power off/on to reboot (not very
nice, I know...):
  VFS: file-max limit 4096 reached

Could it be that MRTG is causing the problem??

Is there a way to list all the open files on a linux box? (Sorry if it
sounds stupid but I know how to do this on NT but not on linux ;-))

I realized recently that I had a lot of snmp error message from MRTG, I
corrected my mrtg.cfg file and now it's running OK. Maybe that was my
problem.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Pierre.
