[mrtg] Help!!! Traffic Graphic by Subnet or IP Address?!?

Dear Everyone,

   I'm sure someone along the lines has asked this question before. If some
one could find it in their hearts to help out a system admin that just got
out of surgery and is finding it difficult to sift through Cisco/MRTG docs at
the moment. :) 
    I have two subnets on one ethernet interface. Is there anyway to get
traffic readouts by subnet or by ip instead of via the hardware interface?
Any ideas?
