[mrtg] AW: FW: some questions

now some answers to my questions and whats left of them:
1.) still there:
i set maxbytes and absmax to 500000000 and the lines still there

2.) solved it:
i copied perl.exe to mrgtperl.exe
i made a batch calling mrtgperl.exe with mrgt and cfg
i made a batch with a "kill mrgtperl" command
i used at to kill mrgtperl every hour
... thats a kind of quick and dirty, but it work somehow ;-)

3.) partly solved:
i will have to rtfm in future... it says: mrtg = only integer values ;-)
so i will have to use rrdtool some day

4.) partly solved:
got rrdtool installed now, but i question left:
is there a tool for making rrdtool graphs on a timed base linke mrtg does without rrdtool? i dont like to use a cgi-based graphing...

'AbsMax' is the number above which mrtg will discard data as unrealistic.
Adjust these two values accordingly.  Read the 'config.html' file that came

i want to run mrtg as demon, but i dont want to restart it every time i make
a new config-file. does someone have an idea of how to implement that mrtg
re-reads the config every hour?

3.)
i want to show the utilization in % instead of mbit.
i used the formula ((( 3:public at rm2s014e.mah.roche.com ) * 8) / 1000000) for
a 100mbit link (which is "((rec-octetets*8)/bandwidth[=100000000])*100").
but mrtg only uses integer values in the graph, so for example 1.9% becomes
1% in the graph. is it possible to get it to use floating-point values with
1 decimal behindt the . ?

is there a guide on how to use rddtool with mrtg? and where can i get
rddtool binaries for nt?
