yes, If you are trying the *pre releases make sure you get the
latest one ... per6a and per6b which are on the website work quite
well

PS: For the next two weeks I will be offline ... expect great thing
there after ... mrtg-2.6pre7 will have a LOT of new code ...
amongst other things a total overhaul of the target parsing and
finally proper and clean integration (actually a rewrite from
scratch) of the  'identify Interface by IP or Ethernet or Description'
feature. All in all about 25% of the mrtg script have been
rewriten already
