Sebastian,
Thank you for your info. <begin bash>This problem sounds just like
Microsoft: releasing a product that does not work then not releasing a patch
to fix "anomalies" as they appear. </end bash>
I guess I will have to put "at" commands to stop and start the service.
What a joke.
Thank you,
David Gabler

Hi David,
I had the same problem a few months ago and reported it to Microsoft. The
person I was reporting to was Otto Helweg mailto:ottoh at microsoft.com . He
tested it on his own servers and mentioned, that he would submit the bug. I
don't know, if Microsoft has patched this until now. I think we have to wait
for the W2k SP1.

Betreff: [mrtg] Win 2k SNMP issue
Hello,
I have been monitoring my WIN2k systems for about a week now. I am using
OID .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6.X (Disk units used
host.hrStorage.hrStorageTable.hrStorageEntry.hrStorageUsed.X).
The problem that I am having is that this GAUGE is only being reset upon
system reboot (SNMP service restart). Could I be doing something wrong?
The other GAUGES, e.g. CPU work fine.
My whole goal here is to monitor disk space, used or available (available
Bytes = host.hrStorage.hrStorageTable.hrStorageEntry.hrStorageSize.X *
host.hrStorage.hrStorageTable.hrStorageEntry.hrStorageAllocationUnits.X -
host.hrStorage.hrStorageTable.hrStorageEntry.hrStorageUsed.X *
host.hrStorage.hrStorageTable.hrStorageEntry.hrStorageAllocationUnits.X).
Has any one figured a way around this OR am I doing something wrong? I have
searched for topic relating to this in the MS KB and elsewhere to no avail.
