Hi Philip,

1. MRTG shows kBYTES/s, not kBITS/s by default. You can change this by
adding
Options[^]: bits
to your config-file

2. mrtg should be run every 5 minutes as a cronjob.

Cheers,
Jan

Betreff: [mrtg] Problems with mrtg

I've built mrtg under Solaris 7. I'm using it to monitor a Cisco 25xx
router.

I've spotted a couple of problems:

1. cfgmaker says that the serial line on the router is running at 256Kbps
whereas I've set the bandwidth to 2048Kbps.

2. I've set up a cron job to get the graphs updated. The html page seems to
be updated every five minutes but the log file and the graphs don't. They
only get updated if I run mrtg manually.

Any ideas on these?

Thanks.
