[mrtg] Creating my on data input.

I am running mrtg 2.7.0 on a sun sparc.

I want to be able to monitor so other data, in this case the temp of a
UPS.

I am looking for information on how to do this. I remember seeing it
some where
in some docs but for the life of me I cannot find it.

Can someone point me to the documentation.
