[mrtg] Timeout

I have a small problem that I hope can be resolved. When MRTG is running down the mrtgkick.bat file and attempts to locate a router that is not responding for some reason (dont go there) it will hang and thus never finish the batch file. thus creating an open application in task manager. Is it possible to place a time-out statement in the cfg file, so that if no response in a certain time it moves on to the next router?

Any help would be appreciated.
