[mrtg] Tracking Input/Output errors

I'm planning on starting to track Input/Output errors and the like on
the various routers I manage to be graphed with MRTG. I was wondering if
anyone had an opinion of an error threshold on the LAN side and on the
WAN side. I'm more of a sysadmin who got hired into a network management
position, so I haven't spent a lot of time thinking about what is
acceptable errors on a network and where to place triggers....

Any suggestions/advice?

If anyone has a internet accessible example of error graphing I'd be
interested in seeing what you've done... please send me the URL...
