[mrtg] Problem, Wierd Error Message

has anyone ever seen this error before, adn if so what would cause it.

Subject: cron: /mnt/mrtg-2.8.12/run/mrtg /mnt/mrtg-2.8.12/run/mrtg.cfg
Can't create templock /mnt/mrtg-2.8.12/run/mrtg.cfg_l_22889 at /mnt/mrtg-2.8.12/run/mrtg line 2053.
