[mrtg] 3COM SSII 1100 - TRAFFIC ?

I have been using MRTG on a 3com Super Stack II 1100 switch.
It seems to work fine.....but I think that what MRTG reads is not
correct.
I don't need to monitor in real time the bandwidth but I would like to
use
it to do accounting of the traffic (totals) for each switch port.

So I have been using mrtglog in the contrib directory.

I run

mrtg mrtg.cfg

And then
mrtglog 01/01/00 01/06/00 </home/httpd/html/mrtg/port01.log

IN  = 733179.500 Byte
OUT = 3422166.000 B
IN  = 715.996 KB
OUT = 3341.959 KB
IN  = 0.699 Mb
OUT = 3.264 Mb

Then I upload the the machine connected to the port 01 a file that si
1170 KB (1,1MB)

mrtg mrtg.cfg

mrtglog 01/01/00 01/06/00 </home/httpd/html/mrtg/port01.log

IN  = 755754.500 Byte
OUT = 3635203.500 B
IN  = 738.042 KB
OUT = 3550.003 KB
IN  = 0.721 Mb
OUT = 3.467 Mb

HOW CAN I FIX THIS PROBLEM ?
