[mrtg] monitoing Cisco CPU usage and Packet processing

I just set up mrtg to monitor route's CPU usage and packet processing.
The router is a Cisco3640 with two Serial card and two Ethernet (Fast
and normal).

The mrtg can monitor the traffic on each interface successfully. But I
find a strange
thing. In the past days, the result of  Memory used and Memory Free is
almost a
straight line with green color under it. IP Forwarded , Packet In and IP

delivered is also almost a straight line. But the traffic on each
interface varied.

Why ?   Is there any problem with my configuration ?
